Shelle Kuntz, Founder
It all began with a yoga DVD that she purchased for her high school kids to use between sports practices. For Shelle Kuntz, founder of Mountain Song Yoga, it was enough to ignite a new passion that would change her life forever.
In 2018, Shelle completed her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Hive, specializing in Energy Medicine Yoga, Himalayan Kriya Kundalini, SUP Yoga, Kids Yoga, and Yoga for Pregnancy.
Practicing yoga for more than 20 years, Shelle attests that yoga has been critical in keeping her centered and nourished throughout the many different challenges that life has thrown at her. She is passionate about the many benefits and unlimited potential of yoga and feels that its teachings are a blessing for all. Always an educator, teaching on a variety of topics to folks from all walks of life, Shelle decided to share her love for yoga and mindfulness by opening Mountain Song Yoga in 2019.
Shelle’s teaching style offers mindfulness, breath work, and a thoughtful flow of movement sprinkled with wisdom and joy. She views the spirituality and science of yoga as an avenue for each of us to find our true selves, increase our awareness about the world around us, and elevate our consciousness. Rest assured you will her leave her classes feeling positive and ready for whatever lies ahead.
Having lived in Asia for a number of years coupled with the opportunity to travel all over the world, Shelle has a deep love and respect for all cultures. She has lived in Whitefish, Montana for over 20 years with her husband and beloved golden retrievers. Together they are proud to have raised three beautiful children to be independent thinkers and to go out and make the world a better place.
Known for her positive personality, unique ability to spread love and light into any situation, as well as her infectious laugh, Shelle loves helping others and facilitating groups. When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her in her garden, hiking with friends, making music, and volunteering within her wonderful community.
